2063 Claro Walnut Burl.

Claro Walnut burl from Oregon. Original block was 10% MC, but I decided to rough out and and check monthly weights anyway. It lost no weight in 4 months, so I finished turned it. Sanded to 600gt, Danish Oil natural, Beall 3-step buff. 6 1/4" x 2 3/4", 7.2 oz. This supplier offered some exceptional bowl blanks for a very short time, then disappeared.....too bad! This happens quite a lot with these "come and go" suppliers. I guess they only have a small quantity of wood to process.

unmistakably yours Odie, well done

Thanks Hughie.... :)

There are quite a few turners who can be identified by their current works, and you are among those, too. I see it as a good sign to be recognized this way......because it must mean something is working for them in their efforts, so that time is spent to develop a particular style.
