Pohutukawa 6 inches long the Queen ebony Finial appears a bit bigger in the picture than it is for some reason; it looks more balanced in real life.
These are turned from a piece the size of a brick with no waste wood yes the Skew was used to come in as far as the up turned feather.
Airbrushed with 7 different colours so a shimmering effect appears when you move around the piece
The carving and painting are wonderful. I'm still trying to figure out how you turned it. (The turning is awesome as well.)
