Autumn Leaves

  • Hal
Sweetgum turned thin, carved, colored by air brushing, 10 in. tall.
Beautiful piece. The black base really makes the turning stand out. It compliments the negative black space between the leaves. I can't tell from the picture....is the negative space painted black or are those openings?

The warm color, flowing shape and texture of the carving caught my eye immediately. I like the subtle coloring of the leaves and the base sets it off very well. I really like this piece. Well done in many aspects.
