Bottle with Tendril (detail)
Bottom view with tendril-style bottle stopper. Inspired by mollusk form, texture, and color. Cherry wood, turned, carved, painted with acrylic. 15.5" high x 6.25" wide.
Love the form, texture and color! Is the tendril carved from one piece? ... or turned, cut apart and reassembled and carved? Well done, Heather.

Thanks! The tendril ended up being three pieces dowel-joined together. The straight piece was turned, and the rest ended up being two scraps cut on a bandsaw and shaped by various means: angle grinder, rotary burr, files, etc.
