Burl Hollow Form

Serviceberry hollow form about 6 inches round.
That is a nice turning but here in west central MN it is hard to believe that service berry could ever produce a burl that large. Last year (2018) we had a bumper crop and were able to make jam but the largest trunk on any of the bushes was only about 1" in diameter.

Very nice Kurt! I've not heard of serviceberry but I really like your turning. I love working with the natural flaws in wood, they give it character. I've been turning some lilac root which is ugly when started but has beautiful color and design when finished. I'll try to post a picture on here to compare colors, etc. with your turning.
