Live edge moose 3/8" x 1/4" I made this on Nov. 24, the night before the challenge ended, but it didn't come in enough before it straightened, and the rim was rounded over by the paper towel I used to "finish" it.
It’s a great piece, Isaac! I think you would’ve faired well in the challenge. And when you say it’s moose, should we interpret that to mean you’re turning bone?

Outstanding form for such a small piece, and out of a very challenging material, too! Well done, Isaac. (Is it as stinky as deer/elk, do you suppose?)

Some are more than others, depending on the piece. I can't imagine any of it will be as bad as sea lion or whale bone.

moose antlers, horns, claws, teeth, I have it. There is so much wildlife, but not record-breaking sizes, so I collect the animal parts that I can use when the hunters take the meat, hide, skull, etc.
