Cherry Eccentric Bowl

Cherry Eccentric Bowl

Instead of putting eccentric rings around the rim again, I decided to try the opposite and hollow out the middle. Because this was a fairly shallow piece, I lowered the outside rim to give the bowl section the appearance of more height. It's 9" dia. X 1-1/2" tall. Some color added for highlights. Finished with Tung Oil and Beall buffed. Thanks for looking and all comments welcome, Don L.
That is very cool! I like the way it evolved from the earlier piece! Do you sketch new ideas like this out on paper first or do you chuck a piece up and see what happens?

Thanks Lionel!
Jeff-I do both. This one I just chucked it up and started turning.
Dale-This is a solid piece.

Thanks all, Don L.
