Cherry Burl Salad Bowl:
Dimensions; 14 3/4 inches in diameter by 4 1/2 high.
Finish; Kukui Nut Oil sanded to 600 then burnished bee's wax.
It has been turned for a while now, and the color is much richer than the salmon pink it was when freshly finished. I imagine it will take another year or two before it sets to a fairly consistent color.
I actually have another cored blank of this size and quality... The tree was heavy with large bark free burl material. Long gone now, but well remembered.
Gorgeous piece of cherry ...nicely turned and finished!!
