Over the Rainbow

Another try at a ribbon bowl. 8w X 7 H.

I found a use for Norfolk pine without knots.
I turned first to a Hawaiian calabash shape to about 3/32
I applied a tung oil mix to make the spalting pop and allowed it to cure for about a week.
I then sealed it lacquer so the liquid mask could be removed after painting.
My airbrush technique has improved slightly but it still required a bit of swearing to bring it to a finished piece.
