Spiral Slotted Ash Vase

Bruce, All your spiral routed pieces are beautiful. Good shapes and good proportions. Thanks for your explanation about your "router sled". I'm poor mechanically, but I'll try and get a mental picture so I can give the technique a try. Dale Clemens

The Router sled that I use is pretty simple. Just a couple of boards joined together in a "L" shape with the trim router mounted at the appropriate height using two U shaped double ended bolts (U clamps) available at any hardware store. I have seen more elaborate ones with a base with two ends with roundouts cut out to cradel the router. I believe there is a picture of one these in the album of Jeff Jilg on this site.
Spirals, on the other hand require a more complicated setup of pulleys to drive the router.
