Jerry, I like the nice crisp shoulders and lines you were able to acheive. The inlay in the top is very well done. Purpleheart is a difficult wood to hollow and you did a nice job with it.
Thank you for your comment. The inlay is a well know symbol of JKA Shotokan Karate. I made the box as a tribute to my Sensei who passed away this past March. I gave it to his wife who is also my teacher. Hollowing it out was definately a challenge, but the inside is as crisp as the outside. Unfortunately I could not get a good photograph of the inside.
