@Chris Ramsey Hi Chris, I can imagine the amount of 'fun' you had developing this process! At some point I might try a scale model of this , maybe 1/2 size of yours if that is alright with you.

@Bernie Hrytzak yes it was turned side grain. I hope you do make one and post it here. I hope your turns out to be a better piece than mine. Nobody needs my permission to make whatever they want to make, whether I made it first or not. Go for it! Turn safe and enjoy the ride!
