It looks like you carved it with a traditional, unpowered carving tool. I much prefer that look over the machined carving. Love the resulting texture. Brings great interest to otherwise boring wood. Nice piece.
Thank you Tom! Yes, I am enjoying the quiet process of carving by hand, one stroke at a time. I use a Flexcut 1/4" 70 degree V-Tool. It is time consuming but fun.
