Branching Out

A fairly large piece of Mesquite fashioned after the form of a Native American basket. The dominant exterior feature is a large branch junction. The junction showed to be pretty weak so the bark borders were saturated with CA and the voids filled with CA infused inlay. With a bit of wrapping it cooperated. The inside beading illusion has added turquoise stones. 6.5 inches tall and 9 inches wide. Finished with Waterlox.
