First piercing

I was fortunate to be recognized with TOTW for the second piercing project I had done so I wanted to share my first piercing. This one is Bradford Pear finished with tung oil and acrylic paint. The inside is a bit rough since there are two broken bits imbedded in the wood. I learned a lot from making this piece which helped with the second. The piece is about 4" so the piercings were pretty small. I made good use out of a magnifying headband.
Peter, I used the NSK Presto air driven hand-piece for the piercing and a Micro-motor for the rough carving. A lot of detail was done with needle files and rifflers.
