I tried something I've never done before. This is a 16" Elm platter. The design isn't original, it's from a clip art book. I drew it on the wood (with a lot of help from my wife) enlarging it from a 6" version. The Haiga indigenous people are from the northwest coastal islands and their artwork is very unique. Google them to see more of it. This was drawn, then outlined with a woodburning skew, cut with a bandsaw and finally pyro-textured with a gazillion burned dots.
