Kou II

Kou, Cordia Subcordata, has become one of my favorite woods to work with. I will definitely save the crotches for hollow forms. I like the pattern that you get with the sap and the heartwood. This one is about 8 in wide by 9 tall. Finished with Danish Oil. Inspired and motivated by David Ellsworth and Kevin Jesequel. My opening is over 2 inches wide, in Kevin's, you can barely stick your finger through, lol.
