Yes, I agree that is really fantastic and creative. The cutout shapes remind me of Pueblo homes.

I like your new design twist with the rim, David.

Curious .... what is that white-ish line around/near the major diameter in all four photos? Not a straight line - so not a mechanical (turning, sanding, bruising, finishing) type mistake. Never saw anything like that before.

Tom, it’s a lighting reflection in the glossy finish. I use a light tent and often an outside light to minimize the base shadow. I think the lights were fighting each other. I struggle with that sometimes. It is not an issue with the wood.

The woodturning journey is challenging enough. Please don’t ask me to try and master photography as well.😀

Thanks for the compliment!

Thanks for your reply, David. I know what you mean about the photography aspect - frustrating for sure. I also have a photo tent (no interior lights) and usually have one or two exterior lights (overhead & left side, and often a bounce card) ... and sometimes I just use natural light. The results never seem to be consistent.:(
I don't recall ever seeing a wavy line around the circumference like that. That being said, I can't remember what I had for breakfast.
