Dragonfly close up

A collaboration with @Tod Raines and I that we auctioned off on our Vendor Showcase event last wee.
The Bulrush was Poplar (I think) and was hollowed and two pieces, textured and colored beautifully with a stem that fits down into a Mesquite 1/2 log.
The dragonfly, was my interpretation of a Blue Eyed Darner (male), turned out of Pecan. The legs and cirrci are hammered copper. The wings were laser carved and engraved cast acrylic. Then the piece was airbrushed with Createx paints from Joe Fleming (airbrushing wood)
