Eggception II

This is another egg-in-an-egg piece, inspired by Al Hockenbery's ball-in-a-ball work. I posted this to another forum, but there's a lot of non-overlap with members. Forgive me if you've seen it previously. The small Suriname Ironwood egg moveable yet permanently fitted within the cavity of the larger Sweetgum egg. Ebonized (via India ink) Black Oak pedestal. Magnets join the large egg to the pedestal. Large egg finished with lacquer, small egg with hemp oil, and pedestal with lacquer. 8.25"h x 3.5"d.
