Embossed and melted

Turned and carved disc with hand dyed quilted and beaded fabrics.
A collaboration with my wife Ruth. 16 x 36 inches.
Man, you keep getting better and better at these... I think I still like the last one the best, but this one is really good too. Got any how to pix yet? ;)

Really lovely and creative work. I took the liberty of showing two friends, one who is a raku potter, and the other who is a fabric artist. They loved the collaberation and are already sitting down and plotting some collaborations using their own media, and are going to pull in a glass artist as well. Wish I could see them in person.
 
This is my favorite of the series so far. I like how you blended the center piece into the turned disc.
