Eucalyptus Coin Pot

Eucalyptus Coin Pot

I was told by the guy that gave me this wood that it was curly maple. However, when I started to work on it and got all of the wax off the smell told me that it is eucalyptus. It now has a nice peppery Vicks smell. It is 6" X 6" and is finished with a dark red dye inside and 2 coats of catalyzed lacquer.
Very beautiful piece. Your use of the dye on the inside made it even more interesting. I like that very much!
