Filigree Bowl

This bowl was turned from madrone burl. It required turning on 19 centers and employed a custom made mounting to facilitate the many mountings.
Absolutely impressive, both technically and artistically. Nineteen centers, a true tour de force!

Interestingly, the French word tour is derived from the Latin verb "tornāre" (to turn).

Shades of Hans Weissflog! Very well done, Dennis .... a lot of patience and diligence to attempt one of these. Size? What is the purpose of the added buttons ... just decorative - or ...???
