Heart bowl

I cut this crotch piece of ash to highlight the heart shaped bark inclusion. While turning, it went from valentine heart to anatomy heart, but still looks like a heart. Sorta.

First turning was a flat bottom /flat side “dog bowl”. Then I got inspired by the “seeing the curve” thread and Emiliano’s Hawaiian bowls as it was drying. Fortunately there was enough wood left to modify my design.

13” diameter. Part of a salad set.
