Heart Of Mounts

Spalted Breadnut and Seagrape
Very nice piece, it really seems to shimmer. Is that brass you attached the heart with? I really like the shape. Congrats on the goblet contest!

Thank you, Ed.
The shimmer is an effect of the lighting, I'm afraid. It was very difficult to illuminate the interior without washing out all the color of the outside. I finally ended up shining a flashlight into the inside while taking the photo.
The heart and the collar around the top are one piece of seagrape turned and carved.
