Lancewood
lancewood with brass insert to two side as it opened, it has sat on the shelf for several years to see it was going to move further, it barely moved. 8x4 oiled will polish when the oil sets. A dense wood it weighs in at 2lbs with a wall thickness of around 1/2 for the spirals
Its an old school form, fairly rare in turning circles due to the fact its very hard to season without losing it. Currently oiled with my own recipe, will be buffed when the oil sets.
