Large Walnut Platter

Large Walnut Platter

This walnut was sawn in 1990 and then air dried for 31 years. I call it a platter, some a shallow bowl. It is 23.5 inches in diameter by 2.5 inches high. The long period of air drying produced very rich, chocolate brown colours. It is finished with 8 thin coats of wipe-on poly.
