Light Sculpture view 2

More of the Light Sculpture - see view 1 for details. Oh, and by the way... The original neon was the pale gold you see and a pale apple green, but while I was cleaning the glass tube the green snapped and so the tube was replaced and while I appreciate the effort, I wasn't exactly going for the "bug-light" quality this takes on when it's lit. It stays off most of the time.
Any and all comments always welcome.
Very interesting design. I like it... my I ask what inspired you to this design? Or just the desire to mix the two medium's?

I've been fascinated by the aspect of turnings being light (weight wise) and then I had done a neon piece for my wife a while back. I was struck at the time by how cool it would be f the turned pieces looked like they were flying and the nthe idea of making light (the bright kind)turnings came to mind. When I told Neon John about it I thought he'd say, "hey, you can't do that" but instead he liked the challange. Then I set about desining the piece so it could be built around what was required to make it work. I hope that tells more of the story.
