Maple/walnut Lidded Box

This is a piece of maple from Oregon and walnut from Virginia........an experiment in grain orientation to see if the movement of each wood in relation to one another will stay as it is.........both were fairly dry [air dried] wood.

I am trying to ascertain the rates of movement from using different woods together with the same grain orientation.

The finish is still in process.......so not completed yet.
