Mean Bead

Mean Bead

Another Mean Bead Pencil Cup. Maple - a little figure. Just under 5" and under ~ 2 1/2" across. Blue Transtint dye with just a drop or 2 of green.
Wonderful. More detail on how you achieved the texture and colour please...

Cheers.

Calgary, Alberta, Canada eh!
There is no added texture. turned, thoroughly sanded and dyed. Plus two very thin coats of wipe-on poly. The dye and then the poly help to greatly enhance the natural figures in the wood.

Thanks Tom. The figure in the wood looks very three dimensional - I suspect your choice of finish accentuates this. Well done!

Cheers.
Barry
