Mesquite with burnt textured band

Mesquite with burnt textured band

6.5 x 2 inch Mesquite bowl finished with Deft Oil and buffed but not waxed.

The band was textured with a pyrography pen using the medium ball tip. I usually blacken the burning with a marker when I do the burnt texture, but decided to leave this one natural.
I believe that the best compliment that can be given to a turned bowl is the desire to pick it up. I'd want to pick this one up. Thanks for sharing the image of your work.
