Moose Trophies

Each 5"X5.5"X3.5", ebonized walnut, sapele, plain walnut, brass. My daughter-in-law's mother had a very serious illness last winter and showed inspiring strength and determination to get better and work her way back to normal. 6 weeks ago, she had another in a series of major recovery milestones and I thought, "She deserves a medal.....or a trophy," as the light went on. Late, but not too late. Her nickname is Moose. Et Voila'! A Moose Trophy for each of her major milestones of recovery. The cherry board they're going on will also have one empty space, for the milestones yet to come.
Also, the snouts and antlers were made via German ring turning. My first time trying it and a very interesting and challenging way to make multiples of something. Also my first time carving much of anything.

Clever, well executed and so thoughtful. This work is a real blessing!

Wow! I love these. They are so thoughtful and fun to look at!!

What a wonderful gesture ... and a very unique and fun product. AND, you got to play with some new techniques ... it doesn't get any better than that. Well done, sir!
