(2019) Approx. 4” tall. Made from a Maple branch (still has the pith) with a Holly knob.

This was an experimental turning I made sometime in the 1990’s – found in a box while looking for something else. The lid fit was still perfect. The monthly club challenge was to make a “Decorative Box” - but being the procrastinator that I am I didn’t have enough time to make a box…then I found this. Cleaned off the dust – textured with cup burs and pyrography – colored with gilders paste and some metallic and pearlescent paints – and added a knob.
