Christmas Ornaments
Did you put a lot of effort into finishing the inside of the globe now that everyone can see in? I don't imagine that the average non-turner would ever notice one way or the other.

I like the ones with the thin band of piercing the best, especially the second from the left. The two that are almost completely pierced would have been really spectacular if the piercing was 100% coverage.

Have you ever done any using the southwestern carving style you posted a picture of the other day.

These are quite beautiful and would be very lovely with the other Christmas lights filter through the pierced filigree of the globe. Good stuff!

As a fellow ornament maker, these caught my eye right away. As I looked closer I found my eye going to the details of the icicle immediately below the globe, especially in the three darker ones. That section appears heavy to me. The lighter ones on either side look better balanced. That is nit-picky, however, I likes these and will end on that as a very positive note.

I am very curious how you do the piercing, so uniform, so detailed?

Great work!

Very nice ornaments. Someone will enjoy these very much.

I am in agreement with Al. I like the ones with the thinner icicles. Make the beads a bit smaller to taper down the icicle, and so as to direct the eye gently around the globe.

Very nice crisp detail on the spindle work. Beautifully shaped globes and piercing. Good contrast between the light colored globes, and darker finials and icicles. Overall, very striking ornaments. I'd be proud to hang these on my tree.
