The stand on the right was made from a red oak log in about 2010 and considering that it has been out in the weather all of that time it held up quite well.
The replacement is white oak and since I didn't have a log I glued up a blank from many pieces of 3 x 3 and came up with a turning blank that weighed about 180 Lbs. The finish is Watco floor finish (because I had it) and the underside of the base is coated with creosote, which I also had. The base is 13" diameter, the top is 12" diameter and it is 30" tall. The center has a 2 1/2 x 2 1/2" square hole to help relieve some of the stress.
