My first segmented piece… I used maple with walnut veneer to give a “grout” line look. Top and bottom rings are from walnut to contrast and tie together. Lid is curly maple with walnut knob, reflecting the box shape.
A nicely done first attempt Jimmy! Lesson one; accentuating your joints makes alignment ultra important…..actually, the challenge of every segmented piece!! It gets easier from here if you pay attention to it!! Segmenting rocks!!
