Smoldering Shreddies

Black Oak, cut, burned, painted. This was a fun project. I posted some progress photos in the “what’s on your lathe” thread. At some point I wasn’t going to add paint, but every time I walked past it, the bowl seemed unfinished. So I painted each “shreddie” to look like there was an ember inside. Some credit goes to Barry Larson for the name inspiration. Gotta love food themes haha. 6.5”d x 4”h.
You should be in charge of cooking Cheez Its Michael! I love your inclusion of the natural wood, the proportions of it and the edge at the transition! The peek-a-boo at the bottom is a nice treat! Great coloring and use of fire!! Outstanding piece Michael!
