The shape is well done and you did capture a southwestern look. Also brings to mind the term polychromatic which is used to define a category of Native American pottery with many colors. Nice!
 
Outstanding effort Jim. This has a lovely form, a great mix of contrasting woods and open segmenting to boot!! It doesn’t get much better than this Jim! Congratulations on a super piece.
