Spiral Duo

Spiral Duo

Maple and boxelder, 10 inches high. Finished with Osmo Polyx.
Hi Michael. Do you know of any videos on how to make a spiral?
Well, the only way I know how is with a lot of carving. I start by making a ring and hollowing it on a second center, as described by Neil Scobie in Am. Woodturner Feb 2014. In his example he both offsets and tilts the second center, I just use an offset. If I had a bandsaw, I might use it to remove the bulk of the interior.
