Supernova

I have been days rough turning teapots for a class l will be giving at Arrowmont and l needed a break to make something else. I had been tripping over a piece of what l believe is Maple Burl for over a year now, and thought now is the time to do something with this piece.
It is approximately 16” at its widest part and 3 ½ “ deep. I used a Fordham to carve the rays and finished it with Danish Oil.
