Tamarind Twist

This 5 1/2 inch diameter bowl was turned from a block of Tamarind. I used a multi-axis turning approach on the upper half of the bowl to generate the twist. The rim of the bowl was carved to accentuate the twist and highlight the unusual grain patterns in the tamarind. Finish is Watco oil, buffed on the Beall system.
