The 5th of May
220mm high made from Ginkgo, Madden hair tree Turned thin wet it moved a bit so I decided to experiment yet again
Inspired by Duck shooting season just gone .We have a 2 acre pond on our property and many Ducks fly in over the Duck shooting season as they know somehow it is safe .
I stained the water more blue than this but somehow the NGR stain reacted a bit with the timber .By a fluke the colour turned out the colour of a Mallards eggs
The ducks and reeds were airbrushed and the inside coated with copper leaf then airbrushed to give a shimmering effect that throws shadows through out the piece
The Mallards shimmer like the real feathers of a mallard as I layered the airbrushing with 7 different colours .An experiment but I kind of like the overall effect.
What do you think ?
