Blackwood twisted lidded box

This is a commissioned piece and is very similar to an earlier piece I did a few years back. A client loved the other piece and asked if I could do another but in Blackwood.
I had finished carving the lid and was doing the pyrography, when I heard a click and realised I put the tip of the finial into the small fan I was using to take the smoke away. It is a little shorter now after reshaping the spiral and was glad I hadn't chopped off more of the finial, which would have totally ruined the lid!
I must put some mesh over the fan so I don't put pieces or fingers in the fan.
