Another sculptural exploration for me. This is one piece of cherry (a cross section "cookie") turned, carved like crazy, sandblasted (fins), and burned (branches). The dark blue on the fins is dye, with acrylic inks & paints for the copper in the growth rings and the center ring. Black acrylic on the branches. It is 16" with the stand; the piece itself is 11"x10"x4".
