Thanks guys. Ash is my favorite too. Its one of a series I did. All had diferent styles of the rosewood/maple accents. The cocobolo one has to be seen close up to see the metal sparkle in the grain though. Truly stunning!
WOW! I picked out the Ash box as my favorite before I read the rest of the comments. I really like the way the grain goes over the top and down the sides. If you had mismatched the grain it would not be such a strong piece. Good job!
Thanks Angelo, always good to hear from a fellow Rhode Islander. Matching the grain has always been important to me. The cherry box on the right worked out real nice too. I use a hacksaw blade to part the top and bottom pieces so not much wood is wasted.
