Vase of Roses Music Box

This is a vase I made for my dearly beloved. Diane loves flowers and she's been out of town a while so I filled this vase with roses for her. The vase is about 16" tall, not including the music box base. Made of maple and sapele, with a brass stopper tipped with red pine turning.

Here's a link if you want to see it in motion: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EvCzTBu1ujE

Yes
Did you coat the inside with epoxy? Or how did you make it able to hold water for extended periods?

I use Enviro-Tex 2 part epoxy finish. I pour it into the vase and roll it until the inside is coated, then mount it on a chuck and turn it at about 30 rpm for an hour or so to keep it evenly distributed in the vase. After that I let it sit for about a day or so.

Once the finish is hard, I sand any finish that has dripped over the edge (this is rare), and then coat the outside in gloss poly.
