Walnut Pitcher
Ron Coleman

Walnut Pitcher

Walnut body with curly maple accents. The handle and base are beech with black lacquer. About 16 inches tall.

Comments welcome
I'm guessing the top was turned off center? Also, are the neck and body turned separately and joined?

Grey

The body was turned in one piece, a very deep hollowing operation. After the body was hollowed out, the rim was cut on the angle and then a maple cap was added. With the body supported with a steady rest the maple rim was trimmed to match the original neck profile. Everything was done on center.
