Laminated Baltic Birch Plywood. 6" x 6". Oil finish, buffed.
I love the strong vertical lines, I will have to quarter saw some of our slow growing black ash with similar narrow growth rings and try a similar form.
 
George, thanks for the comments. Ash is probably my favorite wood for turning, unfortunately here in the middle of the desert there is a shortage of that particular species. I wish I could find more, compared to a lot of other North Americam species I find it is sometimes hard to find good lumber for turning.
