    This is my very first attempt at turning a bowl. It started out as a 3" diameter apple branch. I think I turned it using only a roughing gouge.

    Made from ancient kauri .This piece measures 280mm dia The top texture was achieved with much sanding and 30 plus coats of laquer .The middle texture copper leaf and carved . The bottom texture had copper leaf 4 coats then a hammered finish timberly@xtra.co.nz
