1 1/4x8 tpi faceplate supplier

faceplates

you might try Don Pencil

http://www.donpencil.com/

depends on what he has going on with family, outside interests, woodturning, etc. but excellant products

It appears as though the Rockler face plates require an insert and only accommodate 3/4" or 1" spindles.
Check your local Woodcraft. There may even be a few face plates on their discount table.

Well, sure enough, I stand corrected!

Face Plate Rings

I love the faceplate idea but I have a Oneway Stronghold Chuck. The website says they only work with the Nova products.

I have face plate rings for my Axminster Chuck. They do need to match the chuck. Axminster and Nova have a dovetail jaw for their face plate rings. The standard OW jaws are not Dovetails.

Consider the Beall spindle tap and make wooden faceplates for many of your needs.
