1 1/4x8 tpi faceplate supplier

Does anyone know of a reasonable source for faceplates? I found some at Rockler that seemed a bit more in the ballpark. Some help would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you want really inexpensive, try Bill Noble at http://www.wbnoble.com/ I use his simple fender washer/nut ones for jigs and anything under about 12".

It appears as though the Rockler face plates require an insert and only accommodate 3/4" or 1" spindles.
Check your local Woodcraft. There may even be a few face plates on their discount table.

Have you considered faceplate rings?

I prefer it over faceplate, because I don't have to remove it prior to reversing and still use the tail stock. It allows me to flip the blank back & forth to refine the shape. And they are not tied to any specific spindle size.

Ditto Bill Noble faceplates. He even thread one more me. I have used them for several years.

I love the faceplate idea but I have a Oneway Stronghold Chuck. The website says they only work with the Nova products.

Face Plate Rings

I love the faceplate idea but I have a Oneway Stronghold Chuck. The website says they only work with the Nova products.

I have face plate rings for my Axminster Chuck. They do need to match the chuck. Axminster and Nova have a dovetail jaw for their face plate rings. The standard OW jaws are not Dovetails.

Consider the Beall spindle tap and make wooden faceplates for many of your needs.
